The Imran Chowdhury Conversation
Imran Chowdhury is the Diana Davis Spencer Chair of Social Entrepreneurship at Wheaton College in Massachusetts, and Visiting Professor at the Free University of Berlin’s International Summer and Winter University. At Wheaton, he serves as Faculty Director of the Social Entrepreneurship Launch Program and the John and Kendra Malloy Social Venture Scholars Program.
Imran’s work is situated at the intersection of business and society, exploring how companies can balance creating positive social impact with financial sustainability in the midst of the digital transformations impacting the entire global business landscape. He is also engaged in helping to develop ecosystems for entrepreneurs focused on social impact, and examining how these ecosystems, through their resources, support structures, and embedded relationships, can sustain the development of ventures with a social purpose.
Imran is a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and received his BA at Hunter College, a master’s degree at INSEAD, and a Ph.D. from ESSEC Business School. He is a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations.
